Campina Grande, Paraíba, Brazil
Campina Grande, “CG”, is a city in the center of the state Paraíba. I spent 2 weeks in this city and loved it. This city is known for several things: cotton and technology. In 2003, Campina Grande was nicknamed the “Silicone Valley” of Brazil. There’s a lake in the center of the city called “Açude Velho”.
Once a year during the spring there is a huge festival called
Sao João that lasts one whole month. This is known is a huge cultural celebration.
There’s a really cool statue of “Jackson do Pandeiro”.
